Fueling the community

... to our next generation.

Dedicated to: {whoever may read this}

Having my own business is a great privilege, but it wouldn't be possible without the support of my community. The community we live in is incredible. Friendships are built here, people are supportive, welcoming to new members, and when times get tough, they come together. In all honesty, my business wouldn't exist without the support of our community.

I am devoted to the community in more ways than one. In return for what builds me up, I fuel the minds of young people and give back to the community that builds me up. Volunteering time is not forced, it's not required to be a part of society and most often times people do not find it to be of any gain to them and their way of life. I however, find so much joy in offering services whenever I possibly can simply because I love what I do.

Taking care of ones self and their family is a rather important rule. Keeping the kids fed and clothed, the lights on and the beds warm... those should always come first. At the end of the day I just find myself looking to do more, be more, help more. Not all the time is this the case- sometimes I am just plain exhausted and need some me time. I mean hey... I'm not super woman.

During the year of 2022, I moved from Wenatchee to Fall City, WA and lived there for roughly 10 months before we [my honey, the kids and I] moved to Monroe, WA- a home away from home. Immediately after moving here in 2023, I was interviewed for the photographer position with the MYFA. Unfortunately, at the time I was interviewed, my books were too full for the professional images they needed but that's okay because something better came out of that interview. It opened the door to the football community for my son who had just became of age to play with the MYFA.

My family and I came closer together, we made friends, we set our roots for our new beginning, we learned a ton and we got to help shape young minds all at the same time. The kids learned hard work, dedication, team work, sportsmanship, a new level of respect for themselves and others around them and the list continues. I was able to practice my skills and make them sharper. I forced myself out of my shell. I learned new techniques, new tools, new skills and improved my own way of working in my own time. Our oldest son learned some of the true ins and outs of a sport that he grew to love entirely, our youngest son fell undoubtedly in love with the idea of football and my fiancé relived his love of the sport, learned new things about how to coach, teach and gained the love of inspiring and shaping young minds.

Moving forward, I hope to continue to support the MYFA as long as they shall be accepting of my family and I, what we are here to offer the next generation and our commitment to finish every season just as strong as we began.

In just a summary, community is the key to success and without it, where would any of us be? Start small and let your soul take you from there. Just start.
